Quality and safe provision of health-care services
Health-care workers may independently provide any service for which they have an adequate education and for which they are qualified and have adequate equipment available.
In performing their work, doctors must act in accordance with scientific findings and scientifically verified methods. Medical practice is a professional activity of doctors based on scientific findings and scientifically verified methods.
Testing of not yet verified methods of prevention, detection, treatment and rehabilitation, as well as drug testing and conducting biomedical research is allowed only with the consent of the Ministry of Health and the written consent of a patient (or a parent or a guardian for children and persons under guardianship).
Health-care workers may use only verified and scientifically sound traditional and alternative supplementary methods of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation which do not have negative impacts on patients’ health and are approved by the Ministry of Health, with the consent of the Medical Ethics Committee.
Only those traditional and alternative supplementary methods of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation which do not have negative impact on patients’ health shall be allowed.
