Right to emergency medical treatment in the European Union
Insured persons who have compulsory health insurance in the Republic of Slovenia are entitled to medical services while traveling or living abroad. In countries that are subject to European law or international agreements on social security, insured persons can exercise their right to receive medical services with their European Health Insurance Card (except in cases of permanent residence and frontier workers).
